CCSDS Clash at The Mag Set for this Weekend at Magnolia

CONWAY, Ark. (06/12/23) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) thunders into Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) this Friday and Saturday, June 16 – 17 for the 2023 edition of the Clash at the Mag.

Last Friday the CCSDS contingent persevered through weather delays to make their debut at Arrowhead Speedway, where California’s Ethan Dotson wired the field for his second win of the year. Unfortunately, Mother Nature took the win on Saturday at Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Okla.).

With nine events in the books Kyle Beard continues to be the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man with a 45-point advantage over Billy Moyer Jr. for the lead. Hunter Rasdon is 53 points out of the lead in third with B.J. Robinson 70 markers out of the top spot in fourth, while Morgan Bagley rounds out the Top 5, just 72 points removed from the lead.

Brian Rickman, Jon Mitchell, Timothy Culp, Clayton Stuckey, Jarret Stuckey, Jamie Burford, Kylan garner, Jon Kirby, Chance Mann, and Cade Dillard round out the current Top 5 in the standings.

After hauler issues prevented Kylan Garner from attending last Friday’s event, Jarret Stuckey has taken over the point’s lead in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle with Jami Burford, Kylan Garner, Chance Mann, and Joe Sheddan in pursuit.

The tour now turns their attention to a big paying weekend in The Magnolia State with a visit to Magnolia Motor Speedway.

On Thursday, June 15 the weekend kicks off with an Open Practice Session from 7 – 10 p.m. CT.

Then on Friday, June 16 the Clash at The Mag roars into high gear with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Super Late Models competing in a complete for $5,000-to-win program.

In addition, programs for The Trak-Star MSSS Street Stocks ($1,000-to-win / $75-to-start), William Wells 3 Star Tire and Auto Factory Stocks ($500-to-win / $50-to-start) and Twin River Auto Sales CRUSA Modifieds ($600-to-win / $50-to-start will be held.

Friday’s driver’s meeting is at 6:30 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m.

The Clash at The Mag finale is set for Saturday, June 17 and is headlined by a complete $12,000-to-win COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Super Late Model event.
