Conway, Arkansas (06/01/20) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model returns to action this weekend as it invades “The Natural State” for a pair of events. If a driver can sweep Friday’s event at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Arkansas) and Saturday’s race at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas), they’ll be rewarded with $8,000 in first-place money.
“It was great to get back to action over the Memorial Day weekend, and now it will feels even more like things are slowly starting to get back to normal with a two-race weekend in our home state, where fans will be welcomed into the grandstands,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “Both Texarkana 67 Speedway and I-30 Speedway are two action-packed bullrings with some of the best fans around.”
Jesse Stovall thunders into the weekend as the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man atop the series standings. On the heels of his $9,000 victory in the Back To Business 30 at Missouri’s Legit Speedway Park on Memorial Day weekend, Stovall holds a 10-markeradvantage over defending series champion, Timothy Culp. The talent-laden Top-15 in the current standings include Logan Martin, Neil Baggett, Rick Rickman, Robert Baker, Spencer Hughes, B.J. Robinson, Morgan Bagley, Drew Armstrong, Kyle Beard, Brian Rickman, Scott Crigler, Jon Mitchell and Hunter Rasdon.
Mississippi’s Spencer Hughes leads early into the 2020 Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle over Drew Armstrong. The rookie crop is still taking form and the picture will be much clearer following this weekend’s action.
